Restricted Exports from Nigeria to the U.S.

Below is the current list of items that are restricted or prohibited from export to the United States. These rules are enforced by both shipping carriers and U.S. government regulations:

Prohibited/Restricted Items:
• All meats (including suya/kilichi, ponmo, poultry)
• Fragrances (perfumes and colognes)
• Native herbs
• Medicines
• Fresh fruits and vegetables (including yam tubers)
• Dairy products (liquid and powdered milk)
• Alcoholic and herbal drinks (e.g., zobo, palm wine)
• Maggi chicken cubes
• All kinds of rice
• Beans (only 4–6 dericas allowed, strictly for personal use)

Note: Items like beans and yams may be allowed under specific conditions but must go through U.S. inspection and fumigation.
Average cost: $240 + service fees.
